The IBSP Council was created to enable existing and future industry‐based safety programs to focus efforts toward collaboration, coordination, and resource sharing to advance policies and strategies associated with workplace injury prevention, safe & early return to work and effective operation of industry-based safety programs in Manitoba.

The Manitoba IBSP Council is also intended to be a collective voice in communications with government, labour, and industry stakeholders.
